Default Would this be anything to do for a rehire complaint???

Hi, I worked at AMC Theaters In Schaumburg,IL from Nov.2005-Nov-2006 and I gave them my two weeks notice and then left after two weeks. Well I was trying to find a job after that but I seem to not have any luck lately so I decieded to maybe go back there. Well the first time I went there and look at my file It didn't say anything about me not being rehirable there and that was around the time when the old GM was there. Well since he left like a few weeks ago I think it was I went back there to look at my file and they said I wasn't rehirable because It was a decision they agreed on. Also, when I there tonight I asked to see my file and he kept asking me why I wanted to see it and I told him I wanted to and I had a right to see It because I wanted to see why I wasn't rehirable. He told me he was the only manager there that night and I couldn't see my file and they weren't even busy at all it was dead.I have two things to say:
1. Isn't it wrong for companys to deny a former employee the right to look at their file when they request it.
2. Doesn't the employer have to tell them the reason or show them in their file what they wrote down why they wern't rehirable because the manager just told me tonight that they had stuff put down on the file when I looked at it me and the manager that got my file coun't find anything. So do I have anything or what?
